I guessed 78% pretty solid guess. And also my second favorite film of the year. Truly fantastic.

Im gonna have to go with 81%
Sep 20 - 01:13 AM
Bill the Butcher
High Rollin': 86%
My actual guess: 76% Critic, 81% Audience
I'm amped up for this film! But you should already know that Paul Dano won't be the abductor as seen in the trailers.
Sep 19 - 12:34 PM
Average will be 73% after 95% of critics have reported in.

Yes LOOKS GREAT

I really hate how critics dislike of darker subject matter translates to lower scores. Seeing something like "...but it may be to dark for some audiences" really bothers me. After all the reviews have been submitted, I'm predicting the audience likes the movie 10% or plus, more than the tomatometer

I'll say 85-90%. But my favorite "revenge film" of all time is still Oldboy, and I doubt it will ever be topped. It's because the unambiguous message is the uselessness of revenge. This movie looks like it'll be one of those faux-sophisticated ambivalent stories, where we are supposed to hate, yet sympathize with the protagonist's actions. Sorry, not for me, not even in this situation. Also why I anticipate Spike Lee's Oldboy will almost certainly miss the core message of Park's film. Oh well, off topic but I harbor severe doubts about the message of this movie.

Prisoners dark subject-matter may prove unwieldy for some. But Prisoners features tense direction and an excellent performances all around the board especially Hugh Jackman
Sep 12 - 06:33 PM
Featuring a thoughtful Hugh Jackman performance, Prisoners is above average.

Ill say it ends in the early 90s late 80s. The cast is great and and looks very suspensful.

I'll say 76%. The trailers look fantastic, but it may be a tad unoriginal. Depends on how good the twists are and that there aren't too many of them.

80% if early reviews are any indications http://www.firstshowing.net/2013/telluride-2013-denis-villeneuves-prisoners-is-chilling-enthralling/

81%, but I think it could ultimately split critics if the torture scenes I've been hearing about rub some the wrong way
Aug 30 - 11:36 AM
great cast!! and talented director!I love Gyllenhaal and I like Jackman plus exellent supporting cast, so..85%-90%
Aug 28 - 03:56 AM
I'm fairly sure this is going to be a flop due to uneven tone. A 70% at it's best, a 30% at it's worse but likely a mid 50% due to a few good performances from Jackman, Davis and Dano.

Reality doesn't have a tone, this film looks realistic, so tone is probably a low priority, it's all about the characters and story, I personally think tone is overrated.
Aug 30 - 09:35 PM
Honestly I'm going with a 90-92%
Aug 26 - 07:49 PM
This is hard. I'd say a 70-90 range unless it flops. I'll go with 79%
Aug 25 - 09:02 AM
Reviews are out. I'm going to guess 89% now.
