Movie Info

One of nature's most powerful creatures just got a whole lot hungrier in this action thriller. A collision between alien spacecraft sends strange debris hurtling into the Pacific Ocean not far from an undersea scientific research station, which is manned by oceanographer Mike (Corin Nemec), his wife, Linda (Vanessa Angel), and naval supervisor Captain Riley (Corbin Bernsen). The alien matter has a strange effect on the great white sharks who live in the area; already powerful predators, soon the sharks develop a voracious taste for human flesh, and begin attacking Navy divers, with an eye on Mike, Linda, and Riley as his next entrées.

Critic Reviews for Raging Sharks

Abyss-type soap-opera scientists alternate shouting at each other with heartfelt character dollops about children or hobbies which are supposed to make us upset when they die.

it's a lot like Deep Blue Sea and The Abyss, minus the camp value and special effects, respectively

C'mon, I bet it's been at least a month since you've seen a movie about ravenous sharks turned loco by the appearance of a radioactive alien space nugget from beyond Mars.

It's really hard to discount a movie that has aliens playing a part as to why the sharks are raging in the first place. Plus the sharks growl and roar like tigers. Good stuff.

I tip my hat to any shark movie that starts with a space ship with 2 aliens not paying attention to the road... er sky, and smashing into a space station. If only Jaws had that people might remember it as well as Raging Sharks. This here is a doozy though. Lots left to the imagination (people escaping harrowing and fatal incidents without any explanation), great dialogue and characters doing ridiculous things. Oh, and sharks, but no Robert De Niro.
