This isn’t just a giddy romp where a badass in high-tops channels working-class rage and comes out on top. It’s a little more brutal, a little uglier, with deaths that wouldn’t be out of place in one of Bettinelli-Olpin and Gillett’s Scream movies. Go to Full Review

These aren’t kitchen-sink movies; they’re garbage disposal rejects, alloys composed of leftover scraps. And the viewers who are supposed to see themselves in these tough-as-nails characters deserve better. Go to Full Review

It runs mostly through the motions, decrescendoing after every kill into a cyclical thrill ride. Avoiding spoilers, the sequel only veers in a new direction toward the end, but this twist comes after the story flatlines. Go to Full Review

Although I still enjoy the first one better, they had a good story to tell in this one and the casting was great. Go to Full Review

This does exactly what a sequel is supposed to do: go bigger, better, and have higher stakes. A truly worthy continuation of one of my favorite horror movies in recent memory. Go to Full Review

I'm a huge Sarah Michelle Gellar fan so I loved seeing her in this. I also love blood and gore and hope there will be even more in the next one, if we get a third! Go to Full Review
