Overacting throughout the movie, voice & actions. It is as if none of them ever had voice coaching or acting lessons. Since it is so global I wonder if that is what the directer was 'directing' them to do. Really dumb. Stupid plot and drama. I don't care for hollywood's spewing divisive bigotry against Christianity. Terrible continuity: Nothing stops the 'Reaper', bullets, traps, etc. but near the end a seriously wounded old man manages to grab the Reaper and drown him/it. A real waste of one and a half hours of your life that you will not get back...
I bought this for Danny and Vinnie just wish they had more to do.
Its an ok movie, watchable not terrible.
One of Danny Trejo's best roles ever!
i love danny trejo, and he rocks in this film.
Refreshingly unpretentious, old school supernatural slasher which embraces its campy set up and takes full advantage of a game cast, led by a formidable Trejo in a role that fits him like a glove.
This is honestly one of the best films which one of my favorite actors, Danny Trejo, has appeared in. More over, it's probably among his top 5 performances because he gets to play a REAL character with emotions, a back story, and emotional arc. Any movie with him is worth seeing, and it helps that the rest of the cast (specifically Beesley and Jurdi) are also commendable. The story? Not bad, a little stock. But the performances and Trejo? Solid.
Reaper: This movie doesn't try to be anything more than what it is - a B movie horror flick. Unfortunately, it is a B movie that never explains what the title character really is or where he came from. While at times it is mildly interesting, the ending is insipid. D
not a bad thriller... a bit of slow burner but when it kicks in, it works.
Fun fright night slasher pic. Would make for a great drive in theatre midnight show.
Light horror with a sprinkle of supernatural thriller -- better build up than pay off but generally entertaining and good performances from a strong cast.
