The bright spots are Pacino and Farrell, who make us forget that they're Pacino and Farrell, at least for the span of 115 good but not great minutes.

The Recruit has plenty of fat to chew, but when the credits roll, one is left with a garden variety psychological thriller, like Chinese take out, after an hour, hungry for more.

For the boys: watch Farrell try to ****-block a mole within the CIA. For the girls: Farrell's Irish accent (on the commentary track, of course) will leave you dreaming about what it would be like to have his baby.
