Audience Reviews for Red Princess Blues
Alex Ferrari's live action short, Red Princess Blues, is straight to the point with its female heroine. Following in the footsteps of Red Princess Blues Animated: The Book of Violence, the plot doesn't offer up a whole lot, but with 11 minutes to show off, it is more than adequate. The setting, costumes, and colors all come together to compliment the story, plus Ferrari's directing is just as solid. The action, which is left for the film's final act, contains some great choreography. So much so, that it ends up leaving the want for more. Despite Rachel Grant, and her rocking Princess character, Richard Tyson ends up carrying the bulk of the film as a sleazeball before Rachel steals it at the end. Tabitha Morella is worth noting as a reasonable innocent looking young girl with an attractive outfit. Red Princess Blues is one of those shorts that leaves things open for more, and it deserves it.
