Revenge of the Electric Car Reviews

  • Sep 05, 2018

With the dawning of sustainable energy and electric cars now is the best time to watch this documentary on green energy in general and the electric car industry in particular. The race is clearly interesting not only between the various gas variants- diesel, petrol and their electric counterparts but also among various companies within the sectors. This is a fascinating documentary and you will come out well enlightened for the future we are all embarking.

I had watched this a few years ago, but didn't remember much of it. Great story, Elon Musk is rad, as are electric cars. Watched on Netflix at home, June 20, 2015.

It feels like this documentary is attempting to piggyback on the success of Who Killed the Electric Car. It is exciting to see there is growing momentum in the car industry to make a push for electric cars. That excitement, however, does not translate into enough content to make an interesting full-length feature. There just is no meat to this, and it makes it move slowly. The subject matter is worthy, but the presentation and content are just not there. Sometimes good documentaries take years to make; this one needed to cook much longer.

very well done documentary. I wish they had followed ford and the focus electric at some point, but other than that they had Tesla, GM, and gadget to a T. Hoping for a followup sequel.

Elon Musk is super-Elon-Musky! Who doesn't love a Tesla? Interesting to see their hardships. The main players are kind of interesting, too, I guess. There isn't a lot of insider-y stuff, or any reason to get emotionally involved. It's ok. It certainly doesn't live up to Who Killed The Electric Car?

Revolutions are not that simple. Revolutions claims lives, jobs, economy and the very livelihood of people to succeed. It is one such revolution that the director has captured. Today you see a lot of electric cars on the road and this movie captures the struggle behind putting them on the roads.

Sheds light on what should be obvious, but unfortunately is not.

A better title for this movie would be Return of the Electric Car because when this movie came out the electric car had not really conquered anything yet. This is an interesting documentary with several good moments. It is interesting to see some different approaches to business and goals.
