Pretty good! Apparently, the original of the movie Contraband. This one was much better...
It is not the film I would immediately consider as a candidate for Hollywood remake (as it was recently redone with the title Contraband) but a decent thriller with a decent story that had lots of twists.
Not an edge-of-the-seat thriller, but works alright except for the dumb ending. It appeared to be a gritty movie and I thought that it won't have a happy ending. However, a bit after getting into the movie, I felt that it'd be kind of movie where the protagonist emerges as a winner against all odds. And all the odds were against him. So there was a slim chance for a happy ending. But we often get to see the protagonist working out a genius solution in such situations. For once (or once again, whatever it is) I was looking forward to a happy ending. But bang, there goes our... I'd have been disappointed if it hadn't ended happily, but I'd have rather preferred disappointment over this nonsense. Hope I've not revealed anything. Besides what I've written doesn't quite make sense; so evidently I'd no intention to spoil anything. But if it made any sense to you, you should apologize yourself for it if you feel the need. An okay thriller that could have been far better had I written the screenplay!!!
