Suffused with an air of freewheeling improvisation, Rezeta is a light and sprightly doodle of a romantic dramedy, at once effortlessly engaging and unabashedly inconsequential
Even though the film runs under 90 minutes, it drags because it's basically just a series of loose episodes without much tension.
Frank in its depiction of eroticism and emotion alike, Frias' ability to articulate the ephemeral aspects of human connection elevates his film to something greater than the sum of its itinerant parts, establishing him as a talent to watch.
It's at its best when the boy-meets-girl storyline refuses to get bogged down by cliché.
