Movie Info

Robot Chicken: Star Wars brazenly combines the satirical sensibilities of Seth Green and Matthew Senreich's Robot Chicken with the unforgettable moments and favorite characters of the Star Wars universe -- among them, its creator himself, George Lucas. Transformed into the stop-motion animated characters that are the hallmark of Adult Swim's Robot Chicken, and in conjunction with Shadow Machine Films, the Star Wars galaxy takes on an entirely different attitude.

  • This fast-paced half-hour...deftly recreates Lucas' far-far-away galaxy through surprisingly good stop-motion animation.

  • This particular episode is pitched to anyone who grew up playing with the lesser-known Star Wars toys: the Ugnaughts, Bossks, and Dengars of the Kenner line.

  • The spoof is perfection, down to obsessive details of set dressing - again, the result of Green and his fellow proud nerds...Robot Chicken: Star Wars is certain to keep that inner problem child happy.

  • while sketch shows inevitably offer some misses amongst their hits, everything here moves so fast and is cut so sharp that there is simply no time for longueurs. Which is more than you could say for The Phantom Menace...

Audience Reviews for Robot Chicken: Star Wars

An outstanding spoofing of the Star Wars films, Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II is ridiculously funny. Consisting of a more than a dozen animated shorts, a good variety of Star Wars characters and films get lampooned; from the main series characters like Darth Vader and Han Solo to anonymous background characters. And the comedy is extraordinarily well-written; providing a balance of Star Wars in-jokes and pop culture humor. Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II is a smart and savvy parody film that delivers non-stop laughs.

This sequel to the robot chicken parody of the star wars universe is still fast paced but isn't quite as funny. Its still genuinely funny enough to enjoy though which is more then I can say for other star wars parodies.

More fast paced sketches with a longer running time. I was a bit more accustomed to the humour this time, making it a bit funnier than before. Best of all is hearing the original actors pop by for a few sketches, especially Ahmed Best as JarJar and Billy Dee Williams as Lando. Getting to see Bossk do some super cool bounty hunting was a highpoint. We also see some sea dragons hoping to find more than just sand on tatooine. Vader reenacts the destruction of Alderaan using a muffin to tease Leia. You must be a Star Wars fan to get these jokes as they are even more esoteric than the Family Guy spoofs. Clever, silly, and a lot of fun.

Robot chicken was one of the most brilliant spoof shows of all time, let alone done by the comic duo Breckin Meyer, and Seth Green
