Not as funny as the previous two, this new installment still boasts some funny comedic gems. But maybe it is time to give the format a rest now.
judging by this overlong, underwhelming episode, the time has come for series creators Seth Green and Matt Senreich to put their Star Wars toys away.
Audience Reviews for Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III
Robot Chicken once again delivers another brilliant and hilarious compilation of Star Wars animated shorts. In this feature the shorts are themed around Emperor Palpatine, which provides plenty of material for satire, but all the main characters get their fair share of spoofing. A couple of the shorts fall flat, however most of them are clever or absurd enough to bring the laughs. Its witty, irreverent humor makes Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode III immensely entertaining and outrageously funny.

I really wanted to like this final installment in Seth Green's very popular parody series. I was excited when I found out about this second sequel. But it wasn't satisfying enough. Seth Green tries to make a plot which distracts me from laughing at it and having a good time. It's suppose to be a parody so make a parody dont try to make your own Star Wars it doesn't work. I liked the previous two in their funny, cute and charming ridiculousness. I laughed at episode 3 a few times but I didn't laugh enough.

A few recycled gags and others that go on for too long don't really hurt this third installment. When it gets it right it really gets it right, and one sketch had me laughing harder than I've laughed in years. I can't even explain why. Maybe I was going a little crazy, but still, it was good to laugh to the point I was scared as to why I couldn't stop. Again it's one for Star Wars fans only, but I'm sure many people could respect the general animation and ideas. It spoofs every element of Star Wars, from simple scenes, how real people may have acted, riffing on plot holes, strange connections between the original and prequel trilogy, fan expectations, and even why some characters got an action figure. At times observational, at others just random.
