Peter O'Toole as his enigmatic self , and playing the artistocratic English gentleman of boys own culture is wonderfully enjoyable to watch how he extricates himself , through extremes. Great stuff, never to be repeated.

Badly dated TV drama, featuring an operatically mannered Peter O'Toole as Hitchcockian fugitive Hunter, a man intent on assassinating Hitler and who somehow survives a 200-foot fall with just a scuff. In Frederic Raphael's wordy script he is tracked down to Dorset, where he very sensibly decides the best thing to do is hide in a dug-out. Clive Donner directs flatly and it's no surprise to learn it was shot in three weeks.

"Rogue Male" deserves a modern day remake. The story is superb.
