Given there's plenty of hillbilly horrors to watch these days, this does not feel that fresh, nor is it that well told or that invigorating a storyline so it doesn't stand out. It does however have a nice setting and the filter used throughout does help with the 1970's atmosphere that comes across well.

Perfect early Sunday morning viewing!

Very retro which could have been taken further, but the colours were pretty bland and insipid. It is a well-acted horror with some AMAZING effects and deaths. Very traditional hunted by the locals movie with a predictable end. Worth a watch for a horror enthusiast. Quite brutal.

Why every film out of the same slash genre has to be compacted with annoying, stupid protagonists?

Norwegian take on a "city kids get picked off by yokels" gorefest. Imagine Severance without the laughs and without a motive and you're almost there. It has a bit of a 70s retro feel to it that works, but without an explanation for the killers' atrocities (other than they just enjoy doing what they do) and the rather bleak ending, it's pretty brutal stuff.

Derivative thriller/horror that's nicely shot and has a fab retro title sequence, but unwisely dispatches it's most interesting character early on and settles into a cat and mouse chase with signposted sequences and cheap jolt scares. It remains gripping to the last despite its unoriginality, and its brevity is a strength.

If films are split into a beginning, main body, and final chapter, then then this entire movie was like watching the main body of a film without the other two elements! It was a very short production and wasted no time in getting straight to the core. Ultimately, it was just another excuse to showcase the graphic ways that a select band of students could be captured and tortured. There didn't appear to be any reasoning to it other than aimless violence and centred largely around a cat and mouse chase in a large expanse of grassy woodland. The (non existent) ending was another one of those frustrating moments whereby the credits start rolling without revealing why the events actually took place, and what happened to the supposed survivors. Despite the odd success of a bit of torture porn, this didn't really have a great deal of original appeal, and became all too monotonous as we watched the individuals just trek through the woods for an hour! Not the worst way to kill an hour or so, but wouldn't choose to do it again anytime soon!

Some really offensive scandinavian assholes get the hillbilly redneck treatment in this little Gem. When the really annoying one got killed straight away I actually cheered because she was such a spiteful moody cow.

Derivative and predictable nod to The Last of House on the Left, and other 70's survival horrors. But it's slickly executed, and the brief running time helps things move at a break-neck pace. There's also a great (and familiar)opening track ,and some fine, gritty camerawork. It doesn't add up to much though, and plays more like a tribute to superior entries.

This must be the worst film ever made. I have seen a lot of films but this movie is just far beyond everything i have seen before. Yes its that bad. An original Norwegian quality production ....
