Didn't know this was going to get that much attention. Also, I put this out before the movie even came out. I was previewing the movies you guys. Like everyone does. So, of course I didn't see it then.

The first one was good this one is done just as well BUT!!!! I feel Like i enjoyed the first more - This one felt like a video game and the actting was def not on par. Some of the scenes were pretty creepy and down right hard to watch but outta the 4 stories Id say one of them was actually scary but then turns really out there....IDK the franchise is good though I like the Creepshow tales from the crypt stuff and this film does it but it gets muddled along the way - I paid 10 bucks to watch it at home and I still feel cheated lol

V/H/S is a pretty good idea on paper, a bunch of found footage segments put into an anthology. While the direction and technical aspects of several of the segments in V/H/S was impressive, the acting and writing was usually pretty bad and it essentially killed allot of the segment?s dead. I felt while watching it that if the filmmakers had better scripts and more competent actors to work with V/H/S could turn into a durable and endearing horror franchise in the vein of the Twilight Zone or Outer Limits (except found footage related). I have yet to see the sequel, but from what I've heard several of the problems with the original V/H/S have been addressed with the sequel (more efficient run time, stronger writing, some better acting) which gives me hope that the filmmakers are at least learning from their shortcomings and trying to make a better movie than they made before. However, my main interest in seeing V/H/S 2 is "Safe Haven", the sketch directed by Gareth Evan's which I've heard nothing but good things about. Evans first got on my radar after "The Raid" which I?d classify as one of the best action movies ever made. I'm extremely enthusiastic about his future as a filmmaker and I think that he has the potential to soar to high places.

Entertain Me Or TIE
"never seen the first one, but"-- and that's where I stopped reading because I new everything after that point would be pointless.

These critics are jounalist ..and if you studied journalist, film of english in school we will review stuff different from other people. Every critic have they own way to reveiw a film.

The first was better, but this one is still okay. The ending is pretty strange.
Jun 26 - 01:17 PM
Seriously WTF was with taht ending
Jul 12 - 07:39 AM
I don't even know. Seems like a good way to end the movie though.

DUMB?? are you kidding me fuck you stupid FIRST: WATCH IT!
Jun 16 - 09:35 PM
If you're going to throw around the word "stupid," at least align your words into some form of coherence.
Jul 1 - 12:51 PM
dumbass, have you seen movie 43. Most people haven't and post can say that stupid ass movie. Think before you post
Jul 13 - 09:53 AM
If this one received an 87% it MUST be good! I watched it, loved it! It was scary, freaky, funny, and clever. Don't judge a movie by the trailer or premise!
Jun 13 - 07:55 AM
An 87% on RottenTomatoes does NOT mean it MUST be good... In 88% of the critics' minds, it was good, but in 12% it wasn't. I liked most of it, personally, but it really irks me when someone says that the RottenTomatoes score means more than it really does.
Jun 25 - 08:45 AM
Not true. Slumdog Millionare has 94 and I think it's a piece of shit.

Spend your money on something else - Those critics could not have been the same movie! It's really a joke
Jun 12 - 09:30 PM
Or maybe your commenting on the wrong film. Either way it can't be a joke because apparently the critics like it for the most part.
Jun 13 - 08:00 AM
I watched the first one, and I enjoyed what the movie tried to do and what was accomplished... Creeping out a grown man lol
Jun 10 - 04:43 AM
LOL! Just finished it! What a piece of crap! Seriously! It was like a highschool project or what?
Jun 10 - 01:27 AM
Just watched it and I liked it. Some freaky moments and some funny ones. Definitely worth a view.
Jun 8 - 08:54 PM
I just finished it and I fucking love this movie. The first film can't hold a candle to its sequel.
Jun 8 - 07:36 PM
Saw it a couple of days ago. There's some problems, but it was a HUGE improvement over the first.
Jun 8 - 04:30 PM
I just saw this film, let me tell you it was a big improvement over the first film.
Jun 8 - 07:50 AM
Brendan, before you make a thread about something you know nothing about, you should at least watch the first movie. How can you judge a sequel if you haven't seen the original?
Jun 7 - 08:33 AM
a lot of people do this. Most of the saws were never watch, but just fragments of what people talk about
Jul 13 - 09:51 AM
nah man. it's a pretty decent horror movie. Safe Haven will get you going
Jun 7 - 07:04 AM
That was the best segment of the four!
Jun 13 - 07:53 AM
it looks so much better than the first, you should give it a shot
Jun 5 - 05:52 PM
The first one was an overrated pile of shit
May 28 - 05:37 PM
Overrated? What the hell are you talking about? The movie got mixed reviews/reactions.
May 29 - 09:05 PM
Because it's very horrible shit that doesn't deserve over 10%
Jul 3 - 02:58 PM
The first film scored a 54% rotten critic rating with a 42% audience rating. You're an idiot, Joseph.
Jun 7 - 08:30 AM
It deserves 2% and a 20% audience approval, dumb cunt
Jul 3 - 02:57 PM
I'm a dumb cunt because I disagreed with you? I called you an idiot because you said the first one was overrated even though it received mixed reviews.
Jul 5 - 08:47 AM
Agreed. This movie and the first are pure "fast food horror movies". No substance, no anticipation, and forget about a decent plot. It's just a feast of boo scares and cheap resources.
Jul 8 - 12:16 PM
The first one wasn't bad, but it could've been so much better than it was. If you have Netflix, check it out. It's really worth the rental, but it's not a great horror movie. Then, watch the trailer for this again. It'll seem like a god send.
