What a mess. So it's a Law and Order esque made-for-TV Uwe Boll cop drama, and not a particularly good one, even by his standards. It's a split narrative between a boring secret serial killer/business man who the cops call the monkey maker serial killer... yeah, what were they thinking. The other half of the narrative is the overacting cop on the case, trying to catch him. When Eric Roberts is the most talented actor on your set, you know you've got problems. It never makes a whole lot of sense because whenever anybody talks, it's so boring and uninteresting, you can't help but zone out. The acting is bad, the dialogue is terrible, and it's only 86 minutes long, but it has one of those Citizen Kane effects where it feels about twice as long as it actually is... I can just picture the DVD cover now: "John McCloskey compares Boll to Welles!"
