Besides working as a vehicle to expose the actors' talents, especially that of Priyanka Chopra, the movie has a little to offer. Though the storyline is unusual and the treatment too is different, the movie falls short in provoking enough interest and maintaining the thrill all the way. Ruskin Bond's story sounds exciting, but as a movie, lacks enough excitement and interest. While not a total disaster, I don't find the movie recommendable either. P.S.: Not that many would be looking for it, but I still feel that the movie should be search-able (found in the search results) by its original title '7 Khoon Maaf' or even 'Saat Khoon Maaf'. (It doesn't appear in search results by either name as and when this crap is being typed.) Anyway, it's a very minor and easily forgivable error.

7 Khoon Maaf, built entirely around its serial husband killer premise is quite enjoyable till the last hour or so when it sheds its dark humour. The film maintains an upbeat mood for a long time despite the subject matter being dark, but then it kind of wears out. I think the climatic "artistic" twist, somewhat fell flat despite being unexpected. There are no great performances in the film, though Priyanka does dazzle here and there. Her ageing makeup keeps on looking weird. The music is just passable. The cinematography is decent; the sound and editing are pretty good. Overall, it is a decent watch if you are a fan of Vishal Bharadwaj or even Priyanka Chopra for that matter.
