A tedious remake of Greta Garbo's 1934 The Painted Veil.

Audience Reviews for The Seventh Sin

Solid version of the Maugham tale with excellent work by Eleanor Parker, Francoise Rosay and in particular George Sanders who makes his character a fully fleshed out person in a limited amount of screen time. Not quite as good as the Naomi Watts/Edward Norton remake, done under the original title of The Painted Veil, but still a good entertainment.
