Critic Reviews for Shadow Glories

All Critics (6) | Top Critics (3) | Fresh (3) | Rotten (3)

  • A powerful and distinctive commentary on the addictiveness of violence.

    September 27, 2012 | Rating: 4/5
  • A confusing mess where the characters' actions make little sense and the finale is particularly noxious.

    October 12, 2001
  • Better than the vast majority of martial arts films and represents a strong debut by both Sandler and Swampscott director Ziad Hamzeh.

    September 28, 2001
  • An insipid, terminally stupid kickboxing movie that even Lloyd Dobler himself would have trouble recommending.

    March 19, 2003 | Rating: 16/100
  • All in all, a watchable, worthwhile example of its genre, the picture offers a timely anti-violence message.

    December 8, 2002 | Rating: 3.5/5
  • It ends up a broken, fractured version of what it might have been, rather than the intelligent, poetic drama it aspires to be.
