Unlike some large-format films, Sharks 3-D was obviously made by someone (Jean-Jacques Mantello) who cares about the way movies work.

The amazing visuals are what make this movie worth a trip to the nearest IMAX; this is some of the finest use of 3D technology we've seen.

Some of the photography is quite impressive. And the movie certainly doesn't have the 'fearsome denizen of the deep' tone usually found in movies about sharks.

...nothing compares to mingling with manta rays and socializing with sailfish in their own habitat, but Sharks 3D...does come close.
