Audience Reviews for Sharpe: The Legend

Well, "The Legend" is a well done summary of the set of films about Sharpe. (Did Flixster not have room for all of them?) It is hard to tell which one is the best.

Well, for the 1800's era he is unsurpassable, really. Additionally, Sean Bean and Darah O'Malley are the best duo for any war movie and war series ever. Vaguely reminiscent of the series Band of Brothers, I found myself addicted to the entire series in the same manner. 15 episodes now, with Sharpe's Challenge having been recently released. Until this series came out I had zero interest in European war history in general, let alone the Napoleonic era. This series was so captivating that it inspired me to research just to see how accurately the war was portrayed. Yes, it was quite accurately portrayed and gave me a higher appreciation for who Wellington was and how he helped save Europe from becoming a big French prison camp. I have yet to see the Horation Hornblower series on DVD but I'm expecting them in the mail any day now. If you liked that series, you'll like this one. 2 thumbs up to the author Robert Cornwell, directors, and cast of the Sharpe series. You all have created a legend on DVD that I'm proud to own.
