A moody drama that's not quite as bleak as the setting, but one that does explore 'being' through a slightly unsettling father-daughter relationship.

Odd drama. A girl and her dad live in the middle of nowhere at a petrol station. Not much happens but it had quite an intense feel to it. Disturbing issues. Weirdly quite good if you like films with not much talking and not a lot happening

Not an easy film to watch. It's slow, gaining texture from lingering shots of detail and landscape. The tale is grim but largely credible; it occurred to me after watching that possibly no one living in the Highlands would actually lead such an isolated life. A good effort.

I just watched a movie like this, 'Garage', last movie i watched. This one was an even bleaker story set around a rural filling station.

Very slow but beautifully made. Its almost a silent film which lets the scenery do the talking. The cast are excellant.

2011, filming began on location in the Scottish Highlands near the village of Badcaul, situated beside the sea loch Little Loch Broom. For the film, a purpose built garage was constructed on a viewpoint overlooking the loch.

Moody, brooding, atmospheric - set in the remote wilds of Scotland. Wonderfully and elegantly foreboding.

Bleak but beautiful. Warm and cold. Seriously well-made.

Mundane and miserable, a very bleak study of loneliness.

Claustrophobic, Coming-of-age film played out through the beautiful highlands, yet so isolated that "Shell" really doesn't emerge through the film genre.

Despite its contained nature, this is a careful and well exposed character study.
