Audience Reviews for Shinkaijû Reigô (Reigo, the Deep-Sea Monster vs. the Battleship Yamato)

A modern take on a low-budget kaiju movie, but it departs too far to feel nostalgia, nor is the story good enough to hold up on its own. The computer animation is fairly poor, and while the monster suit looks really good, it isn't use enough. The characters are dull and often times too silly to fit in with what otherwise is a dramatic story.
