Its playful take on urban isolation and how internet and technology draw people apart is spot-on, with a bittersweet sense of humor that made me smile at its logical deductions, but it is only a shame that, in its insistence on being cute, the plot can be pretty clichéd and obvious.

An interesting medley of monologues, urban scenery and commentary that melds the architecture of relationships with the structural architecture of modern apartment life. Worth a watch for the screenplay and the fairly engaging acting.

good and interesting look at life in the post-modern era

A clever comedy with unique style and imagery, the messages of romanticism, desperation, singularity and the resolution of inner conflicts are passed very effectively through the strong contrast of architecture, modern living and emotion in this movie.

Impossible not to love this movie.

This movie impresses me as smart without being pretentious, although the storyline is rather on the corny side (some may find it sweet) but the romance is very well layered with thoughts worth pondering.

True love will find you in the end

Perfection movie when it comes to seen the reality of how technology&city can seem so separated and more distant than becoming together. For Martin everything is done online, he seems to live on his computer because that is what he does. For Mariana she has gotten over a 4 year relationship, were she is trying to get used to being alone and prefers to adjust herself to being alone than feeling lonely with someone by her side. The story follows how two people who live quite close, share the same similarities on relating in life ways that they pass each other multiple times without even knowing there presence. Its the Waldo affect, so many people around you that you can feel so lost and sometimes alone.

the ability to be captive with solitariness and loneliness while immersed in the bustling, crowded city of Buenos Aires. Beautifully done.

Cool style. Nice way of telling story. Very good characters played by good acteurs, as always, we can cont with an argentinean film.

The opening scene of Sidewalls, an Argentine indie romantic comedy, is fairly gorgeous, with its ruminations on urban disconnect and its showcase of Buenos Aries' unique architectural landscape. The imagery nicely complements the themes. But upon meeting the film's protagonists, a couple of neurotic loners who, despite living next to each other, have never met, the film increasingly becomes a paint-by-numbers exercise on how the couple will eventually meet and, presumably, fall in love. It leans too heavily on indie quirk and cutesy observations about modern life, cribbing shamelessly from Woody Allen's Manhattan without the wit.

Visual poetry. Utterly brilliant at times but grows slightly unfocused by the end.

Sobre os buracos que as pessoas criam através das paredes das grandes cidades para sentir-se vivas.
