In this French film, singer Charlotte (Isabelle Huppert) is wrongly accused of murder when her current boyfriend turns up dead. Not knowing who to turn to, Charlotte seeks the help of an old lover, Mathieu (Niels Arestup), who is currently engaged to another woman. As the two work together to keep Charlotte out of the hands of the authorities, Mathieu must struggle with his rekindled feelings for Charlotte and his love for his fiancee.
