So inane that it makes Ed Wood Jr. look like a serious filmmaker.

Audience Reviews for Sins Of The Fleshapoids

[img][/img] One million years have passed and the human race has descended back to their ancient life styles. There is no more bickering between races or religions, no more wars, and no more fighting amongst people. Technology has become more sophisticated, and now robots obey humans every desire. Some robots, known as Fleshapoids, have learned the meaning of feelings and started imitating them. This may cause a rift between the race of humans and the world of Fleshapoids. “Fleshapoid. Bathe and feed my lover.” Mike Kuchar, director of A Tub Named Desire, the Slasher, Pussy on a Hot Tin Roof, Born of the Wind, Green Desire, Cycles, and Tales from the Bronx, delivers Sins of the Fleshapoids. The storyline and narration provided a sense of “worthwhile” to the film. The acting was sub par and nothing to write home about. The soundtrack did not perfectly match up with all the scenes. “The time is one million years in the future.” The opening drawings/credits, the “castle behind the marsh,” the water being thrown in the prince’s face, the escape outfits (football uniform), the Fleshapoid punching the prince in the face for disconnecting his woman, and the killing of the prince were amongst the better portions of the film. “The humans now live in a true paradise.” Obviously this film had no budget, so you cannot hold special effects against the director; however, there was no reason to flaunt this fact (i.e. the scene when the Fleshapoid sprinkled the plastic fruit on the human). Sins of the Fleshapoids, despite its name possess no scenes with nudity and was not catered for a “specific” audience. I believe Fleshapoids was trying to capture the imaginations of individuals who enjoyed the Ray Harryhausen pictures being released around the same time. It failed. Grade: D
