Movie Info

Moving to LA - it seemed like a good idea at the time. Dale (Lacey Chabert) can't seem to make things work - at work, with her friends, and definitely not with men. In a city where hype, hookups, and heartbreak are as common as reality shows, it's hard to find something real. Now she's caught and in the middle of a love triangle with her best friend (Jenna Dewan) and a guy from her past (Kip Pardue) - a great guy. Maybe the best guy ever. Sometimes, a girl's just got to take a leap a faith. And with a little luck, maybe Dale's LA dreams CAN come true.

Audience Reviews for Slightly Single in L.A.

the storyline is not interesting. and one big problem that i see with many hollywood films is that they don't hire asian actors whether it is about current or future time. this film happened in los angeles, but throughout this film, i didn't see any asian faces! this is just plain and simple wrong. i don't even see asian people in the background. when foreign people watch it, they probably think that los angeles is a big city with lots of white people, that is simply not the case. no wonder asians hardly ever won any oscar awards, because they are never hired! simon rex acted as a foreign italian guy, but in reality, there are far more foreign-born asian guys in los angeles. this film would feel more authentic if it had inter-racial dating. there are just too many white people films, so this one just doesn't stand out. hollywood will never hire any asian actors if people are not even aware of this serious problem.

A slightly better than average rom-com that works mostly due to the unending charm of Lacey Chabert. It is formulaic and corny, but she plays it so sweetly and innocently she really touched me. There isn't anything new here, it just seemed fresher.
