With some great songs and a few moments of levity, this animated film is a colorful delight.

Digging deeper than many such films, and with strong messages. But if that sounds heavy going for your five year old, fear not, as it's also an engaging movie with bouncy songs and a sense of history (albeit Yeti history) running through it.

It's modest ambitions succeed and it leaves a good taste. [Full Review in Spanish]

With laugh-out-loud moments and cracking songs, Smallfoot is great fun.
October 15, 2018
Slyly subversive, encouraging children to question authority and learn to think for themselves.
October 15, 2018
The movie fares better with something on which most folk are already in happy agreement: the fun to be had from Looney Tunes-style slapstick.
October 15, 2018
The best parts of the movie come in scenes where the characters act unpredictably. Unfortunately, Smallfoot wants to play everything so safe that it just comes off as dull.
October 15, 2018
Smallfoot is a nicely visualised and cleverly written children's animation.
October 15, 2018
It's sweet, funny and musical but it is unlikely to become a classic.

The songs are a bum note, but the film does raise thoughtful questions about dogma, fake news and the identity crises that might occur once a community's core beliefs are challenged.
October 15, 2018
Sadly, overly-stuffed "Smallfoot" invents modern fairy tale notions about Yeti's, with mediocre animation, and songs without actually teaching anything of substance to kids.
October 12, 2018
It's weirdly and oddly and bizarrely and unexpectedly subversive.
October 12, 2018
Seasoned by timely songs, Smallfoot bets on concord from social criticism. [Full Review in Spanish]
October 12, 2018
Not as smartly funny as animated movies like The Lego Movie or Disney/Pixar's output, but there is a warmth and sweetness here that should appeal to younger children
October 12, 2018
It's mostly didactic, tuneless and dull.
October 12, 2018
On the whole this isn't a bad bet for what seems likely, for many of us, to be a wet and windy weekend.
October 11, 2018
Smallfoot may not be on the level of the best Pixar and Dreamworks efforts but it will make passable half-term viewing for family audiences.
October 11, 2018
The conceit is nicely done, and the film's unexpectedly heartfelt message about empathy and looking at the world through someone else's eyes just about makes up for its bland animation, smart-arsed script and generic clappy-blah songs.
October 10, 2018
A middling bit of animation, Smallfoot is built for small children to love and parents to endure.
October 10, 2018
Comfortable territory, executed with cheerful aplomb. Many fine gags and good slapsticky shenanigans.
