This musical drama offers a slightly askew and dramatized look at the life of composer Peter Ilich Tchaikovsky. The story is told via flashback from the view of a Russian military officer whose father worked as a valet to the great composer. The story he tells is highly romanticized and has almost nothing to do with the realities of Tchaikovsky's life as it chronicles a fictionalized affair between the composer and Princess Amalya, his patron.
