Movie Info

The new age release Stargate 2012: Surfing the Tides of the Milky Way draws from ancient Mayan prophecies to argue that an alien species accidentally lost "stargate" technology somewhere on earth many millennia ago - a technology that, in the year 2012, will be suddenly "rediscovered" by mankind and yield a hyper-leap to a new metaphysical dimension and a new species of homo sapien at an advanced evolutionary state. The Mayans predicted that in 2012, a great beam of light will come pulsating down from the heavens, illuminating everyone with advanced intelligence. In part one of this program, host William Henry carries viewers inside of these ancient ideas, in a journey that ultimately unites the mysteries of crop circles with the shifting fabric of the Milky Way and reveals a new mode of spiritual thought. In part two, Henry pieces together clues from Sumerian, Mayan and Egyptian artwork to reveal how all three cultures shared a belief in the stargate, interpretable as a literal stairway to heaven.
