Stars Over Texas (1946)

Movie Info

Though lambasted by trade-magazine movie critics, singing cowboy Eddie Dean was actually a pleasing film personality. In Stars Over Texas, Dean is as usual teamed with comedy relief Roscoe Ates. The two wayfarers come to the aid of rancher Lee Roberts, whose spread is usurped by villain "Black" Jack O'Shea. The action is on the poky side, with Dean using judicial means to thwart the bad guys. Shirley Patterson is the heroine to whom Mr. Dean directs his yodelling ballads.
