Jonathan K @NojEsco 10/21/2021 If you know Steven Wright's comedic style, then you know what to expect here, at least in regards to the stand-up portion. It's ~50 minutes of 1-2 sentence jokes that combine observational humor and absurdist humor. I've always found Steven Wright's style of humor to be funny, and if you do as well, then I absolutely recommend When The Leaves Blow By. -- Now, the surprise is that there is also a short dramatic film Written & Directed by, a well as Starring, Steven Wright, of the same name, and after the comedy special (the two playing like a double-billing), it's quite jarring. However, I really enjoyed this short movie as well, as it did have a solid thoughtful and somber tone, and the end is surprisingly depressing and reflective. If you like the kind of Pensive Art-House cinema that most people write off as "pretentious", then I recommend the short film as well. See more 12/15/2012 I love this guy's humor!
