The film drags on and the central tension flickers until the whole thing feels less like a purpose-built feature than a limited series hastily stitched into one, with Lee ham-handedly propping the door open for a sequel. Go to Full Review

Strung doesn’t exactly unravel, but it delivers more of the pleasures of a near-camp mash up than the emotional stakes of a psychological thriller. Go to Full Review

If one was trying to replicate the elements for The Housemaid but tailor it for Black audiences, it seems like all the right choices have been made for everyone behind the camera. Go to Full Review

Strung never hits the right chord and Malcolm D Lee doesn’t direct psychological thrillers, especially ones produced by Tyler Perry and Jason Blum. Go to Full Review

t's a film too long to be an exciting, fast-paced piece of trash, yet nowhere near serious enough to be considered a good horror film. Go to Full Review

PW W @PWSkyz 11h Wasn't quite the thriller the trailer made it out to be, but that being said it was interesting and entertaining. It sorta meshes a coming of age story, romance, suspense, mystery and CAMP! I was entertained and at times it was a nice emotional journey between Laila and the young girl. Lynn Whitfield was magnificent and completely mesmerizing at the end. See more Timika M @RT01665357 19h The story was striking in its creativity, but what lingered with me was its portrait of women who seem unable to escape cycles of harm. The protagonist repeatedly returns to the same choices, incapable of breaking free from her own selfishness or fully acknowledging the humanity of the other woman. There is something deeply tragic in that repetition. She never truly sees the other woman as someone worthy of compassion and respect, and because of that, she never offers it. The story also turned its gaze back on me. It made me wonder about the moments when I, too, have acted selfishly. That realization is uncomfortable, but perhaps that discomfort is exactly what the story intends to leave behind. And for that I say thank you. I love Chloe Bailey and she did great acting. The male actor was attractive and kept the story interesting. This is a good watch. I rate it 8/10. See more WonderStar Y @WonderStarYT 2d The movie was slow, but the build up was worth it, as a psychological thriller, this movie nails it with multiple twist and an interesting direction of misleading the audience See more Robert C @Cratchit 2d Worse than a Lifetime movie and twice as long. See more JC T @RT88073277 2d This movie is so bad that I’ve already wasted two hours of my life watching it. Consequently, I’m not going to spend even two minutes writing a review; I’ll simply say it’s the worst movie I’ve seen since *Madame Web*. See more Read all reviews
