In some ways, a step up in production value, character types and branching out to other genres for Dave Boyle, but in others, it shows a lack in narrative focus.
Passed it over several times and stumbled on it tonight...so good, wished I saw it sooner!
Go see this movie, I say.
I loved the music and the people. And the west coast scenery.
thoroughly entertaining. great cast. sweet story.
Despite some winning moments of lo-fi humor and some inspired set pieces, there's simply not enough here to carry a feature film-even one that tops out at 75 minutes.
