Audience Reviews for Suspicions

½

The main character, played by Janeane Garofalo, is a little bit dimwitted in this short film; which is a stretch for her as she is one of the more intelligent actors that could have played this role. The pure lack of common sense, that her character displays, while driving, especially at the beginning of this short film, is an indication that the character is less than intelligent. And I think that this actually takes something away from this film; such a display of this particular lack of intelligence, in the character's not very bright special kind of way, was/is probably meant to endear the character to the audience that watches this film. While I do find her endearing, I would have found the character to be more so if a way had been found, and successfully undertaken, for the character to not drive like a complete moron! With that said, Garofalo does successfully manager to sell the character and, ultimately, the story itself. When I first saw this film I was struck by my lack of "I saw that coming."; not being particularly well versed in this specific urban legend, notwithstanding, I just don't see the ending as being difficult to spot. Still, I somehow managed to not see it. And I have heard of this urban legend before, just not much & with hardly any details. I would love to see a longer version of this film, with the same actors playing their individual roles most of all!
