A truly great landmark in grown-up animation.

Audience Reviews for Taiyo no oji: Horusu no daiboken (Little Norse Prince)(The Great Adventure of Horus)

It held my interest. The animation isn't the greatest, but the story is pretty cool. The characters are well though out and complex. If I were younger I would have enjoyed it more.

Yes, there was anime before Akira, and it was just as good. Yeah, the animation looks dated, but the story is a triumph. This film has a terrific multi-layered character-arcing plot that the likes of Disney can only dream of. Fans of anime and those who love a good story should make time for this. It's the best Scandinavian anime you'll ever see.
