Thematically similar to high concept sci fi films such as Primer and Coherence, this micro budget film explores a fascinating concept with some quite good acting and a few special effects that are decent considering the lack of budget. However, it loses its way towards the end and the final denouement is unsatisfying to say the least. With a more polished script this could have been great, but as it is, its an OK effort.
Lame excuse to try prove cinematography skills... Still crap.. Along with the movie.
An egg-head sci-fi thriller. The pay-off at the end simply was not worth the 60 minute journey. Plus. the personal vignettes were nonsensical. I guess even math geniuses need to be movie superheroes and save the universe from destruction. Needed a tighter script to accomplish it's goals.
I really wanted to like this movie but it doesn't deliver on the science or the climax. Had it been a 20 min short it would have been decent.
Four accomplished science professionals are summoned for a secret session in a room. They become entrapped inside this small space without a bathroom, obligated in calculating together a solution to save themselves and possibly, two parallel universes. Although, it feels like it, its better than a well-performed Twilight Zone episode. Director Björn Engström proven how an short independent movie can be produced successfully and find its possible audience without big name star stars and expensive special effects. He tapped on his best resource from his talented, unknown cast who given realistic performances requiring a range of emotions and individual traits. The film is a little over an hour length, so I'll hold back giving away spoilers. There are a few words of strong profanity which may be uncomfortable for individuals to hear.
Good idea, lousy execution. Acting D+. Script C-
