Gabriela Andrada delivers an engaging performance, while Lucia Alemany’s polished direction gives the film visual appeal and a seductive atmosphere. The direction—despite some good moments and even quite sexy scenes—makes hasty choices regarding framing, scene construction, and the handling of actors (especially extras), often making it painfully obvious that we is watching a movie. Furthermore, the final "twist" feels predictable—not because of a choice made by the protagonist, but because the story leaves no other option. While the attractive lead cast lends the film some potential interest, only the female lead undergoes any real character development; this renders the narrative rather hollow, despite the evident intention to highlight female independence—which is the film's main point of difference from Fifty Shades.
