The Terminator Series like The Godfather and The Godfather Part II before it, are burdened by staggering, genre and cinema redefining perfection. The rest of the franchise, including Dark Fate, are frozen.

There's only so much even Hamilton and Davis can do with such one-note characters (though Hamilton, at least, seems like she's having a ton of fun), and Dark Fate doesn't seem especially interested in seeing them as anything more.

Dark Fate fell short of expectations. It made bold decisions, but executed poorly and it follows many of the same storylines as the first one which seems silly for it to be considered a continuation.

The only positive of this film is it confirmed for me that I don't think there will ever be a good Terminator film after 1991. A complete miss.

It's right there with Genesis, like, why are we doing this again? What this franchise needs is its own Logan...we need a whole fresh new take on it. This as it stands is a copy of a copy of a copy.
