In this remake of the horror classic, a group of young travelers, including Erin, Andy and Morgan, comes across an isolated rural home while driving through Texas. This stylish remake is as unfairly maligned as the original, especially when it comes to complaints of gore and torture. This take on Leatherface is filled with dread and several sequences are horrific, particularly Vogel's updated meat hook scene

A decent slasher that delivers all the expected elements of the genre with solid technical execution. It doesn’t take many risks, which helps it stay focused, but also makes it feel somewhat generic. The plot is very straightforward, introducing a few themes and ideas that are quickly abandoned once the violence begins. As part of a long-running franchise, this installment doesn’t have much new to say, yet it works as a tense and horrifying experience. While the characters aren’t particularly engaging, they’re developed just enough to sustain suspense throughout the film. Its relatively short runtime is a plus, especially given the lack of narrative novelty. The production design respectfully echoes the aesthetic of the original while still feeling like its own film. Overall, it’s not bad, but it’s also not especially memorable, aside from a few creative camera moments. It delivers what it promises, though there are stronger and more distinctive entries, even within the same franchise.

quite literally the opposite of copaganda lol, really unlikeable "cop" character. traumatizing kills in this movie, love Morgan he's legit a cute ass stoner nerd like yes please! love when the main characters are interesting and fun.
