Boris is at it again, messing with the UNKNOWN in his most charming persona--Karloff and Lorre are a delight... Arsenic and Supermen!!

Considering the cast, this should be pretty damn good. Unfortunately, it turns out to be a mediocre effort whether you're a fan of horror or comedy. This film tries to pull off both and ends up being one of the most average films Karloff or Lorre ever appeared in. This is coming from a Karloff fanatic!

The Boogie Man Will Get You is a lot of fun for old movie buffs. Boris Karloff & Peter Lorre are a joy to watch & even though there are times when the rest of the movie sometimes feels like a stage play that has just been put to film they make it more then worth tuning in for. Lorre even has his own side kick w/ a kitten in his pocket that he plays beautifully off of. For those who are looking for actual old school chills & a horror element you've come to the wrong show. This is 100% comedy w/ a death overtone that doesn't take itself seriously but doesn't come off goofy in the process. Just a fuck of a good time from an era long gone

A slightly daft comedy farce set in an big old house populated by the likes of Boris Karloff and Peter Lorre, who are both excellent. Boris has the cellar kitted out like Frankenstein's laboratory which looks great.

A goofy screwball farce. It's not that funny, but it's amusing and Boris Karloff is fun in it.

I really enjoyed this movie, it's sort of a spoof of mad scientist movies in a way, and it's really funny. I loved Lorre, he always has this kitten in his pocket, he's so cute! This movie is entertaining and fun.

Karloff and Lorre are clearly having a ball hamming it up. They get more laughs than most comedians do and they are all intentional! A silly black comedy spin on the "Mad Doctor" theme, there's plenty to enjoy here despite how random it gets. The running gag with Lorre's cat is a highlight!

A rather funny horror film about a mad scientist and his loyal servants. In need of money, he sells his dilapidated home to a young lady on the condition that he can continue his experiments in the basement and the servants will remain to help around the place. Soon the new owner discovers a body and calls the sheriff. The sheriff has been wanting to rid the town of the scientist for quite some time jumps at the opportunity to arrest him, but after discussing the situation with the scientist the sheriff decides to invest in his experiments. The only problem is they need volunteers, and the last five have died. A really good screwball comedy with horror elements and Boris Karloff in a starring role.

What a strange and delightful little film. Any movie where Peter Lorre always carries a kitten in his pocket is all right by me.

Reasonably entertaining film that fails as a comedy but is made watchable because of the presence of Karloff and Lorre.

Quirky mix of screwball comedy and horror. Karloff and Lorre are the highlights of the film, but while not a bad movie, it's essentially a poor man's version of "Arsenic and Old Lace"

Somewhat funny film which is only really saved by Lorre's and Karloff's occasional silly moments.

Boris Karloff was about as scary as an old lady with a yeast infection.

Lightweight nonsense.Karloff and Lorre make a fun team in this corpse riddled comedy. Supporting cast, which includes Larry Parks, are in fine form. Sit back and enjoy a few good laughs with this one.

Clunky horror comedy. Karloff and Peter Lorre shine, but it's still pretty forgettable.

Boris Karloff was greatness.

One of the greatest and funnyiest movies ever! Karloff is hilarious, as is Lorre. Karloff's character might just be the funniest, nicest, most likeable would be murderer in screen history, and the "hero" might just be the least likeable "hero" in screen history. I could not reccomend this movie more.
