Just an ok comedy vehicle for Ms. Stanwyck here. She plays a horse enthusiast married to a civil war historian whose marriage is on the skids. When she finds him in more compromising positions with his secretary than he can explain, he dumps him. How will he woo her back? Does he want her? Does she want her? This was just ok, everyone here seems to having an awkward time. Cummings and Stanwyck have zero chemistry together, and Stanwyck looks like she can hardly wait for the whole thing to be over.

**1/2 (out of four)

Not one of Barbara Stanwyck's best films. She is engaging as always but the comedy elements just don't work well enough.

Stanwyck is a Southern bell who raises horses. She marries a historian (Robert Cummings) but he is being wooed by the cute neighbor girl.

Silly trifle whose cast is far far better than the script. Enjoyable enough if you have the right expectations. Peggy Wood gives a lively performance as Barbara's mother and it's interesting to see Natalie Wood in her extreme youth as a blonde.
