Movie Info

When objectively considered, does contemporary scientific evidence point toward or away from a supernatural Creator? Strobel interviewed scientists and scholars from a wide range of disciplines for the answers. Based upon a New York Times best-seller, The Case For A Creator is a remarkable film about Lee Strobel's journey from spiritual skepticism to a profound faith in the God who has etched His indelible signature upon every galaxy and living cell. Audience Reviews for The Case for a Creator

I thank Brookdale Presbyterian Church in St. Joseph, Missouri, for inviting the general public to their free viewing of the original satellite-cast of _The Case for a Creator_, upon which this review is based. I do not concede to the denunciations which this movie's host, Mr. Strobel, has elsewhere stated against the Catholic teachings on Divine Grace and salvation, which this reviewer shares with all souls who sincerly profess the same. Meanwhile, I do not, therefore, object to the message or objective of this documentary film. Concerning this, I will go as far as stating that I sincerely appreciated this film's stimulating, knowledgeable, scientifically informed, and prudently stated case for Christian theism. _The Case for a Creator's_ use of physical, astronomical and biological research indicating the influence of an intelligent designer of the physical universe proves to be persuasive, yet without ceasing to also be wonderful and entertaining. While this film presents advanced philosophical topics and scientific research, the discussion of these matters is presented in such ways that educated viewers will be able to apprehend much of what is presented. If this movie had any fault, it would be that it attempts to address too many topics in too short a time. I, meanwhile, reccommend this documentary to every one interested in cultivating their knowledge of intelligent design, and also to every soul willing to grant a fair hearing to the theistic message of this film. I award it Flixster's second higest rating of 4 1/2 stars. "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard. Their line is gone out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. In them hath he set a tabernacle for the sun, Which is as a bridegroom coming out of his chamber, and rejoiceth as a strong man to run a race. His going forth is from the end of the heaven, and his circuit unto the ends of it: and there is nothing hid from the heat thereof. "The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb." -- _The Holy Bible_, Psalm 19:1-11 KJV --In Christ, Jeff 'quare fremerunt gentes?'
