The Professional: Golgo 13 Reviews
In short, if 80's action movies are your thing, then this'll probably be right up your street.
A hitman is being hunted down by the father of someone who Golgo killed.
He sends the FBI, CIA and trained killers after Golgo while he beds woman after woman and tries to survive.
Cool killers like Snake and Gold & Silver make it a little more than a basic anime.
A huge amount of nudity for an anime as well.
The use of the CGI helicopters was goofy but the artwork was excellent.
Golgo, Japanese professional assassin, gets one job in United States. After positive finishing of the job, he was hunted by a lot of enemies, later found out, sent by father of first victim, owner of Dawson enterprise (Dawson himslef).
Cold head, fearless and harmless Golgo, starts to be concern, but, after a while, expression that he is afraid for the first time turns out that he is only concerned about people that surrounds him, who mostly, end up dead. However, this is not about revenge, and here is not very clear where is the line where Golgo stops being professional, but do job in his own interest, because he starts hunting Dawson without being engaged before.
Movie also shows very good typical reactions of sterotipe of monopolists, and relations with their children, like weakness of others and fear to stand up against 'em. But, it is just secondary image of this plot.
Nothing original in this story makes this movie very very authentic.
I found always interesting to watch characters with high reputation, and how they manage to stay at the top, which I find quite harder then getting there.
