Audience Reviews for The Salamander

This plodding political thriller based on the book by Morris West who wrote a whole slew of Catholic Church novels. And Rod Sterling! The plot holds together, somewhat. But Christopher Lee is not given enough screen time nor is Eli Wallach, to be truly menacing baddies. Nero does some action stuff. And Anthony Quinn walks in and out of some rooms. The final payoff that stops the fascist coup is a real and honest let down. Cleavon Little is hilarious as a CIA man!
