Chow Yun-Fat and Maggie Cheung in one of the zaniest adventure/horror/martial arts films you will ever see! It's a little convoluted and silly, but it's non-stop action and entertainment!

Unintentionally funny HK action/horror movie. It's pretty bad with cheap gore, stupid dialogue and ridiculous creature special effects. Saying that there are a couple of good set pieces and Maggie Cheung is fine as the comedic sidekick. If you've got 80 mins to waste then check it out.

Nam Lai Choi's delightful bag of mixed and used b-movie goods is a wild, incoherent and tremendously silly ride, but a pleasure to watch for the sheer pulpiness of it. And of great filmhistorical value too, since the days of anything goes are long gone in HK now.

Will agree with the 2 stars and a half. Watched it (again?) last night. Went halfway through the movie with the constant feeling of deja vu but without any clues about where it was heading. Gory, same bad effects as Riki-Ho, entertaining, cheesy, bad, good. A must see bad movie.

The Seventh Curse is a prime example of Hong Kong film-making at its craziest and most over the top. It's goofy, violent, and fun. Filled with kung fu, evil sorcerers, the undead, gunfights, crazy alien baby monsters, gore, human sacrifice, ass-kicking monks, and Chow Yun Fat. If you haven't seen this, then you should probably go do that now. Seventh Curse was directed by the one and only Ngai Kai Lam, who was also responsible for the legendarily gory Story of Ricky. He brings his unique brand of weird to The Seventh Curse. If you like crazy Hong Kong movies at all and you haven't seen The Seventh Curse, go watch it. It's mindless, stupid, and totally entertaining. I guess even that hack Wong Jing (who wrote the screenplay) does something right now and then.

Another excellent effort by the great Ngai Kai Lam. Chow Yun Fat with a bazooka - enough said.

Awesome! One of my favourite Hong Kong films, this has everything. Ghost fetuses, a cool monster, gore, massive killings, bazookas and Chow Yun Fat. A hell of a lot of fun and highly recommended.
