See more jacob b 10/21/2022 Top-notch B&W animation, great atmosphere, a then-groundbreaking Gothic approach that was quite controversial back in the day and being just plain fun make The Skeleton Dance a Disney cartoon that's close to turning a century old and yet it still stands the test of time to this very day. Lighthearted Halloween fun that also has me disappointed that the "Spooky Scary Skeletons" song isn't in the actual cartoon and only in the memes. But hey, everything else is still sound, so there's no need to complain about the lack of a song that didn't even exist back then. I hope they do an HD version for Disney Plus soon (it wasn't on the service when I added this review). See more 12/17/2020 One of the greatest Halloween short I've ever seen. I watch it on Youtube, I really love it because of it originality and back in the day of 1929, it was difficult due to the beginning of great depression. See more 03/04/2016 It's certainly a landmark film and technical achievement for it's day, but it offers the modern viewer little more than dancing skeletons and a lesson in film history.
