The clock strikes midnight, the bats fly from the belfry, a dog howls at the full moon, and two black cats fight in the cemetery: a perfect time for four skeletons to come out and dance a bit.

Audience Reviews for The Skeleton Dance

It's certainly a landmark film and technical achievement for it's day, but it offers the modern viewer little more than dancing skeletons and a lesson in film history. Probably would terrify young children though! Props for the macabre!

I always loved this Disney short as a kid! A few years ago I found a VHS on eBay that had this and other scary tales (including another skeleton dance that includes Mickey Mouse). I still love it.
