Critic Reviews for Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers

All Critics (12)

The animation has a Saturday morning look to it, with an overall brighter, yellower cast, and the film feels like a cartoon short that's been put on the rack and stretched until it qualified as a "full-length feature."

Movie Metropolis

[Blu-ray Review] A top-notch A/V offering, a few short but cute extra features, and a slight but likable movie for any age—what's not to like? Disneyphiles and families with little ones should be confident in picking up this title. Gawrsh!

Too much cartoon violence in tale of classic trio.

See Richard Lester's one instead of this bland adaptation of the Dumas classic.

Unfortunately, the result is only so-so.

Audience Reviews for Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers

a fun and short little family flick, it would be pointless to a lone male of his 20's or 30's but i watched it with my kids and it was a lot of fun. decent humor and a fun story make this a purposeful family movie.

Silly and perhaps doesnt do the source material justice, but kids won't notice.

It's all for fun in the animated adventure Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers. Inspired by the Alexandre Dumas novel, wannabe musketeers Mickey, Donald, and Goofy are given a chance to prove themselves when they're assigned to guard Princess Minnie. The film is focuses more on gags than story, but that's to be expected from what is essentially an extended cartoon sketch. The classic Disney characters are used quite well, and include Pete, Daisy, Clarabelle Cow, and the Beagle Boys. Yet sticking to formula also results in a lot of predictable jokes and comedy routines. While Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers has some charm to it, it doesn't really aspire to much.
