Movie Info

Two Kuna Yala children born at the same time yet under vastly disparate circumstances find their fates unexpectedly intertwining when a large corporation draws up plans to construct a series of lavish resort hotels that will displace the indigenous population and forever blemish their picturesque shoreline. Machi was born in Kuna Yala, a traditional fishing village, and taught to speak in his native tongue. Rosy was also born in Kuna Yala, yet, unlike Machi, she was raised in Panama City and speaks Spanish as a first language. Later, as these two children grow into teenagers, a powerful development company begins drawing up plans to commercialize the Kuna Yala territory. Unbeknownst to the powers that be, however, is the fact that a special wind will soon come blowing through the Kuna Yala coconut trees, transforming Machi and Rosy into a formidable force that could stop the developer's plans cold. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
