Audience Reviews for The Wrath of God

My father was beat to death and defecated on while my mother was forced to watch An Irish-American moves to Mexico during the prohibition era in the United States. While in Mexico he encounters a unique priest that faintly believes in the path of god and strongly believes in the path of the righteous. When they see a mute girl being unjustly treated, they save her by killing several local banditos. They quickly become the target of a local mob that wishes for nothing more than their deaths. The priest, the Irish-American, and the mute girl begin a life on the run. "If god wanted to give the world an enema, he'd stick the nozzle in here." Ralph Nelson, director of Father Goose, Once a Thief, Lilies of the Field, Requiem for a Heavyweight, Blood Money, and Embryo, delivers Wrath of God. The storyline for this picture is fairly interesting and the brand of comedy, action, and character development depicted throughout this picture is unique. The acting is very good and the cast includes Robert Mitchum, Frank Langella, Rita Hayworth, and Victor Buono. "One missing and one drunk. Swell." The Wrath of God grabbed my attention while flicking through the channels primarily due its title. This movie was interesting and unique to the western genre. The content was fascinating but rather slow at times and the action was more scarce than I anticipated. Overall, this is worth viewing once but may not be worth adding to your DVD collection. "A woman that cannot speak cannot complain." Grade: C+/B- (6.5)
